The following documents are relevant to institutions seeking accreditation or recognition.

Note: The BTM Baccalaureate 1.0 criteria were created in 2009. In 2014, these criteria were updated with new learning outcomes. The new 2.0 criteria are being phased in and it's up to the educational institution to decide which criteria they would like to seek accreditation/recognition under. Successful compliance with either the BTM 1.0 or BTM 2.0 leads to the same result.

Ready to Seek Accreditation/Recognition?

Once a post secondary Institution (PSI) registers, they will be directed to our Moodle platform where they will complete a questionnaire.

The questionnaire is the foundation for the review team's judgement of whether the program meets our criteria for accreditation. It addresses all paths to completion of the degree, and all methods of instructional delivery used for the program.

The process of preparing a questionnaire takes time and is expected to encompass both a quantitative and qualitative assessment of the strengths and limitations of the program. We recommend that programs become familiar with the information requested in the questionnaire well before submitting a Request for Evaluation (RFE).

Carefully review the applicable accreditation or recognition criteria to conduct a self assessment before seeking accreditation or recognition.
